We have had another busy week in Year 6. In Maths, we have been working on written methods of multiplication. We started with the grid method and then moved onto the formal written method column multiplication. We have also been working hard on our three and four times tables and we have improved a lot! We will be focusing on our 6s and 7s next week. In English,we have started our non-fiction unit about hybrid texts. We started by discussing different examples of non-fiction texts and we played a matching game to match the cards to the examples. We have also started to plan our non-chronological reports about the Kingdom of Benin. In History, we have been looking at reasons Britain would have for and against invading Benin. In Science, we have planned an enquiry to investigate how light and temperature will affect mould growth on bread. In Computing, we have discussed how the internet can be used to collaborate and work together. We have been working in groups to create a presentation to showcase our History learning. We used Google slides to work on the same presentation together at the same time.
