Vision & EDJ Stategy

So in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.

Our school aims to provide its pupils with a broad and balanced curriculum set within a caring and supportive Christian community in which each member of the school is valued and respected.

Equality Objective

To promote cultural development and understanding through a range of experiences both in and beyond school.

To learn that equality is a key principle for treating all people fairly and creating a society in which everyone has the opportunity to fulfil their potential – irrespective of their gender, ethnicity, disability, religion or belief, sexual orientation, age or any other recognised area of discrimination.

To raise levels of attainment and progress for all groups of children, ensuring our most vulnerable pupils are supported to reach their full potential.

The Equality Act became law in 2010. It covers everyone in Britain and protects people from discrimination, harassment and victimisation.

Everyone in Britain is protected. This is because the Equality Act protects people against discrimination because of the protected characteristics that we all have. Under the Equality Act, there are nine Protected Characteristics:

Age
Race
Sex
Disability
Religion or belief
Sexual orientation
Gender reassignment
Marriage or civil partnership
Pregnancy and maternity

Under the Equality Act you are protected from discrimination:

  • When you are in the workplace
  • When you use public services like healthcare (for example, visiting your doctor or local hospital) or education (for example, at your school or college)
  • When you use businesses and other organisations that provide services and goods (like shops, restaurants, and cinemas)
  • When you use transport
  • When you join a club or association (for example, your local rugby club)
  • When you have contact with public bodies like your local council or government departments

Our Church Mission Statement

We are a commited, connected community with Jesus at the centre of all we do.

We have chosen to focus on three areas at St. Paul’s:

To build

with the help of the Holy Spirit, a strong core of Disciples who meet for prayer, learning and sharing the love of Jesus.

To work together

with the school community to provide worship opportunities
for families.

To establish

our outreach activities using
The Reach to provide a wider range of mission opportunities and worship.

We are an outstanding village school where every child is known, grows in character, and goes beyond — with wraparound care from 7:30am to 6pm.
