Our Final Week Together.

What a wonderful way to end an incredible year!

It is hard to believe that we have reached the end of Year 3. As many of you know, I have had the privilege of teaching this fantastic class for the past two years, and it has been such a special journey. Watching every child grow in confidence, develop new skills and mature into the kind, caring and hardworking young people they are today has been an absolute pleasure. They really are a lovely class, and I will miss them all very much.

To all of our parents and carers – thank you for your continued support throughout the year. You should be incredibly proud of your children. They have worked so hard, shown resilience, kindness and enthusiasm every single day, and the progress they have made has been amazing. It has been a joy to be part of their learning journey, and I know they are more than ready for the exciting challenges of Year 4.

This week, we have been busy bringing lots of our learning to a close. In Writing, we completed and typed up some of our newspaper reports before finishing our newspaper articles all about the missing dad. We also created a fantastic display to celebrate all of our Into the Forest learning, showcasing the wonderful work we have produced during the topic.

In Maths, we finished our statistics unit by completing our learning about pictograms. The children have become much more confident at reading, interpreting and creating pictograms and have worked brilliantly throughout the unit.

In Science and Geography, we reflected on everything we have learned this term by answering our enquiry questions. It was a great opportunity to look back at all the knowledge we have gained and celebrate just how much we have learned across our topics.

To celebrate the children’s outstanding behaviour throughout the year, we enjoyed a lovely trip to the park together. It was wonderful to spend time playing, laughing and making more happy memories before the summer holidays. We also had the pleasure of watching the fantastic Year 6 production, which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone and was a brilliant way to celebrate the older children’s hard work and talent.

Finally, I would like to say one last thank you to this amazing class. Teaching you over the past two years has been a privilege, and I feel incredibly lucky to have shared so many wonderful memories with you all. I am so proud of everything you have achieved, and I cannot wait to hear about all the brilliant things you will accomplish in Year 4 and beyond.

Have a fantastic, safe and well-deserved summer holiday. Enjoy spending time with your families, making happy memories and having lots of fun. Good luck in Year 4, you will all be amazing!
